Joshua Turner, LPC, LAC, MAC




Joshua began working in the mental health field in 1997.  His early career was focused on adventure-based counseling practices where he used rock-climbing, kayaking, hiking, and mountain climbing trips as personal-growth opportunities for his clients. Over the last 25 years He has worked in various agencies and schools in New York, Vermont, West Virginia, and South Carolina and has a long history of helping men navigate challenges and opportunities in all stages of life. Joshua brings his education, field experience, and dedication to professional development to Lowcountry Men’s Counseling where he now focuses on helping men discover what it means to be in healthy, mature, and satisfying relationships.  Joshua is a father, a husband, a musician, an outdoorsman, and a person passionate about learning about and working with others.

At Lowcountry Men’s Counseling, Joshua Turner brings together insights, skills, and techniques; tools drawn from the field since 1997.  Over the course of his career, Joshua has become equipped to help men of all ages navigate:
